Method for the simulation of accelerated wear and corrosion for the detection of nickel release from coated items

This document specifies a method for the simulation of accelerated wear and corrosion, to be used prior to the detection of nickel release from coated articles that come into direct and prolonged contact with the skin. According to the Commission Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH), articles with an outer coating containing nickel and those which are inserted into pierced ears and other parts of the human body are excluded from the scope of this document.

Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zur Simulation von beschleunigtem Abrieb und Korrosion fest, das vor dem Nachweis der Nickelabgabe von mit Auflagen versehenen Erzeugnissen anzuwenden ist, welche mit der Haut in direkte und länger andauernde Berührung kommen. Entsprechend der Verordnung der Kommission (EG) Nr. 1907/2006 (REACH) sind Erzeugnisse mit einer nickelhaltigen Außenbeschichtung und solche, die in durchstochene Ohren oder andere Körperteile des menschlichen Körpers eingeführt werden, vom Anwendungsbereich dieses Dokument ausgenommen.

Méthode de simulation de l'usure et de la corrosion accélérées pour la détermination de la teneur en nickel libéré par les objets revêtus

Le présent document spécifie une méthode de simulation de l’usure et de la corrosion accélérées à utiliser avant la détermination de la teneur en nickel libéré par les articles revêtus qui entrent en contact direct et prolongé avec la peau. Conformément au Règlement (CE) n° 1907/2006 (REACH) de la Commission, les articles ayant un revêtement extérieur contenant du nickel et ceux qui sont insérés dans les oreilles percées et d’autres parties percées du corps humain sont exclus du domaine d’application du présent document.
