Arc welding equipment - Part 5: Wire feeders
This part of IEC 60974 specifies safety and performance requirements for industrial and professional equipment used in arc welding and allied processes to feed filler wire. This document is applicable to WIRE FEEDERS and to WIRE-FEED CONTROLS that are stand-alone (separate from the welding equipment), housed together in a single enclosure or housed in a single enclosure with other welding equipment. The WIRE FEEDER can be suitable for manually or mechanically guided torches. This document is not applicable to spool-on torches, which are covered by IEC 60974-7. NOTE 1 Typical allied processes are electric arc cutting and arc spraying. NOTE 2 This document does not include electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements, which are given in IEC 60974-10.

Le présent document s'applique aux DÉVIDOIRS et aux COMMANDES DE DÉVIDAGE DU FIL qui sont indépendants (séparés du matériel de soudage), intégrés ensemble dans une seule enveloppe ou intégrés dans une seule enveloppe avec d'autres matériels de soudage. Le DÉVIDOIR peut être adapté aux torches guidées manuellement ou mécaniquement. Le présent document ne s'applique pas aux torches à bobine incorporée qui sont couvertes par l'IEC 60974-7. NOTE 1 Le coupage à l'arc électrique et la projection à l'arc électrique sont des procédés connexes typiques. NOTE 2 Le présent document ne contient pas les exigences de compatibilité électromagnétique (CEM) qui sont données dans l'IEC 60974-10.

Ta dokument določa varnostne zahteve in zahteve glede lastnosti za panožno ter profesionalno opremo, ki se uporablja pri obločnem varjenju in povezanih postopkih za podajanje polnilne žice. Ta dokument se uporablja za samostojne PODAJALNIKE ŽICE in KRMILNIKE PODAJALNIKA ŽICE (ločene od opreme za varjenje) s skupnim samostojnim ohišjem ali skupnim ohišjem z drugo opremo za varjenje. PODAJALNIK ŽICE je lahko primeren za ročno ali mehansko vodeni gorilnik. Ta dokument se ne uporablja za gorilnike z navojem, ki jih zajema standard IEC 60974-7.

welding" was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and approved by CENELEC as
EN IEC 60974-5:2019.
The following dates are fixed:
• latest date by which the document has to be implemented at national (dop) 2019-12-06
level by publication of an identical national standard or by endorsement
• latest date by which the national standards conflicting with the (dow) 2022-03-06
document have to be withdrawn
This document supersedes EN 60974-5:2013.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
