This document covers the manhole cover assembly and specifies the performance requirements, dimensions and tests necessary to verify the compliance of the equipment to this standard.
The equipment specified by this standard is suitable for use with liquid petroleum products and other dangerous substances of Class 3 of ADR - European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road which have a vapour pressure not exceeding 110 kPa at 50 °C and petrol, and which have no sub-classification as toxic or corrosive.

Diese Europäische Norm gilt für die Baugruppe Deckel für Einsteigeöffnungen und legt die Leistungs-anforderungen, Maße und Prüfungen fest, mit denen nachgewiesen werden kann, ob die Ausrüstung den Anforderungen dieser Norm entspricht.
Die in dieser Norm beschriebene Ausrüstung ist für flüssige Erdölerzeugnisse und andere gefährliche Güter der Klasse 3 (entzündbare Flüssigkeiten) des Europäischen Übereinkommens über die internationale Beför¬derung gefährlicher Güter auf der Straße (ADR) geeignet, deren Dampfdruck bei 50 °C höchstens 110 kPa beträgt (einschließlich Ottokraftstoff) und die nicht als giftig oder ätzend eingestuft sind.

La présente Norme européenne s'applique aux couvercles de trou d’homme et spécifie les exigences de performance, les dimensions et les essais nécessaires pour vérifier la conformité du dispositif à la présente norme.
L’équipement spécifié par la présente norme convient à une utilisation avec des produits pétroliers liquides et autres matières dangereuses de la classe 3 de l’ADR - Accord européen relatif au transport international des marchandises dangereuses par route - (liquides inflammables) dont la tension de vapeur ne dépasse pas 110 kPa à 50 °C (y compris l’essence) et qui n’appartiennent à aucune sous-classification des produits toxiques ou corrosifs.

Ta evropski standard zajema sklop pokrova vstopne odprtine ter določa zahteve glede zmogljivosti, dimenzije in preskuse, potrebne za preverjanje skladnosti opreme s tem evropskim standardom.
Oprema, ki jo določa ta standard, je primerna za uporabo s tekočimi naftnimi proizvodi in drugimi nevarnimi snovmi kategorije 3 ADR – Evropski sporazum o prevozu nevarnega blaga po cesti – (vnetljive tekočine), katerih parni tlak ne presega 110 kPa pri 50 °C, vključno z bencinom, pri čemer niso dodatno opredeljeni kot strupeni ali korozivni.
