Plastics laboratory ware - Single-use Petri dishes for microbiological procedures (ISO 24998:2008)
ISO 24998:2008 specifies requirements and test methods for plain, single-use Petri dishes for microbiological use.
ISO 24998:2008 does not apply to products of similar design which may be used for cell or tissue culture purposes. Neither does it apply to dishes supplied ready loaded with microbiological media.

Diese Internationale Norm legt Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren für ungefüllte Einmal-Petrischalen fest, die
für die Verwendung in mikrobiologischen Verfahren vorgesehen sind.
Diese
Internationale Norm gilt nicht für ähnlich konstruierte Produkte, die für Zell- oder Zellkultur-Anwendungen
verwendet werden. Diese Norm gilt auch nicht für Petrischalen, die bei Lieferung bereits mit einem
mikrobiologischen Medium beladen sind.
ANMERKUNG Petrischalen werden bei mikrobiologischen Routineverfahren in sehr großer Zahl verwendet und
deshalb häufig durch automatisierte Geräte gehandhabt. Anwender solcher Ausrüstungen sollten sicherstellen, dass die
Petrischalen des jeweiligen Herstellers für die Handhabung in automatisierten Geräten geeignet sind, und dass sie bei
Bezug von unterschiedlichen Quellen miteinander kompatibel sind.

L'ISO 24998:2008 spécifie les exigences et les méthodes d'essai relatives aux boîtes de Petri simples, à usage unique en microbiologie.
L'ISO 24998:2008 n'est pas applicable aux produits de conception similaire pouvant être utilisés pour la culture de cellules ou de tissus. Elle ne s'applique pas non plus aux boîtes fournies préalablement remplies de milieux microbiologiques.

EN ISO 24998:2008 (E) 3 Foreword This document (EN ISO 24998:2008) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 48 "Laboratory glassware and related apparatus" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 332 "Laboratory equipment", the secretariat of which is held by DIN. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2009, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by May 2009. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights.
