ISO 22829:2007 is applicable to transformer-rectifier units as used in electric resistance welding machines operating from a power supply with a frequency of 1 000 Hz, and of a rated value of the input voltage equal to or higher than 500 V. These transformer-rectifier units are primarily used in welding guns with an integrated transformer.
For these transformer units, ISO 22829:2007 supplements the requirements given in ISO 5826 and ISO 10656, which remain applicable except where amended by ISO 22829:2007.

Diese Internationale Norm ist anwendbar für Transformatoren-Gleichrichtereinheiten die in Widerstandspress¬schweißmaschinen eingesetzt werden. Die Frequenz der Eingangsspannung ist auf 1 000 Hz festgelegt. Die Höhe der Eingangsspannung beträgt 500 V oder mehr. Die Transformatoren-Gleichrichtereinheiten werden überwiegend in Schweißzangen mit integriertem Transformator eingesetzt.
Die vorliegende Internationale Norm für Mittelfrequenztransformatoren ergänzt die Normen ISO 5826 und ISO 10656, welche anwendbar bleiben, soweit sie nicht durch die vorliegende Internationale Norm geändert werden.

L'ISO 22829:2007 est applicable aux transformateurs-redresseurs utilisés dans les machines électriques de soudage par résistance alimentées sous une fréquence de 1 000 Hz, et dont la valeur nominale de la tension d'alimentation est égale ou supérieure à 500 V. Ces transformateurs-redresseurs sont surtout utilisés avec des pistolets de soudage à transformateur incorporé.
L'ISO 22829:2007 complète, pour ces transformateurs, les exigences énoncées dans l'ISO 5826 et l'ISO 10656; ces exigences restent applicables lorsqu'elles ne sont pas amendées par l'ISO 22829:2007.

The text of ISO 22829:2007 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 “Welding and allied
processes” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO
22829:2008 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 “Welding” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2008, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by September 2008.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
