Solid biofuels - Determination of moisture content - Part 3: Moisture in general analysis sample (ISO 18134-3:2023)

ISO 18134-3:2015 describes the method of determining the moisture in the analysis test sample by drying in an oven. It is intended to be used for general analysis samples in accordance with EN 14780. The method described in this part of ISO 18134-3:2015 is applicable to all solid biofuels. The moisture content of solid biofuels (as received) is always reported based on the total mass of the test sample (wet basis).
Since biofuels in small particle size are very hygroscopic, their moisture content will change with humidity in the atmosphere and therefore, the moisture of the test portion is determined simultaneously with determination of for example calorific value, carbon content, and nitrogen content.
NOTE The term moisture content when used with biomass materials can be misleading since untreated biomass frequently contains varying amounts of volatile compounds (extractives) which can evaporate when determining the moisture content by oven drying (see References [1] and [2]).

Dieses Dokument beschreibt das Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Wassergehaltes in der allgemeinen Analysenprobe durch Trocknen in einem Ofen. Das in diesem Dokument beschriebene Verfahren gilt für alle biogenen Festbrennstoffe. Der Wassergehalt von biogenen Festbrennstoffen (im Anlieferungszustand) wird immer bezogen auf die Gesamtmasse der Versuchsprobe (Bezugsbasis Feuchtmasse) angegeben.
Da biogene Brennstoffe mit kleiner Partikelgröße stark hygroskopisch sind, ändert sich deren Wassergehalt bei Änderung der Luftfeuchte, und deshalb wird der Wassergehalt der allgemeinen Analysenprobe gleichzeitig mit der Bestimmung anderer zu messender Eigenschaften (z. B. Energiegehalt, flüchtige Bestandteile, Metalle usw.) ermittelt.
ANMERKUNG   Biomasse-Materialien können geringe Mengen an flüchtigen organischen Verbindungen (VOC, en: volatile organic compounds) enthalten, die bei der Bestimmung des Wassergehaltes durch Ofentrocknung verdampfen können (siehe Literaturhinweise [1] und [2]). Die Freisetzung derartiger Verbindungen ist im Verhältnis zum Gesamtgehalt an Wasser, der mit diesem Verfahren bestimmt wird, verhältnismäßig gering und wird in diesem Dokument vernachlässigt.

L'ISO 18134-3:2015 décrit la méthode de détermination de l'humidité de l'échantillon pour analyse par séchage à l'étuve. Elle est destinée à être utilisée sur des échantillons pour analyse générale conformément à l'EN 14780. La méthode décrite dans la présente partie de l'ISO 18134-3:2015est applicable à l'ensemble des biocombustibles solides. La teneur en humidité des biocombustibles solides (à réception) est toujours rapportée à la masse totale de l'échantillon pour essai (en conditions humides).
Les biocombustibles constitués de particules de petite taille étant très hygroscopiques, leur teneur en humidité varie en fonction de l'humidité de l'atmosphère et, par conséquent, l'humidité de la prise d'essai est établie simultanément avec la détermination, par exemple, du pouvoir calorifique et de la teneur en carbone ou en azote.
NOTE Lorsqu'il est employé dans un contexte de matériaux de biomasse, le terme « teneur en humidité » peut prêter à confusion, car la biomasse non traitée contient souvent des quantités variables de composés volatils (extraits) susceptibles de s'évaporer lors de la détermination de la teneur en humidité par séchage à l'étuve (voir Références [1] et [2]).

Standard ISO 18134-3:2015 opisuje metodo določevanja vlage v analiznem vzorcu s sušenjem vzorca v peči. Uporablja se za splošne analizne vzorce v skladu s standardom EN 14780. Metoda, opisana v tem delu standarda ISO 18134-3:2015, se uporablja za vsa trdna biogoriva. Navedena vsebnost vlage v trdnih biogorivih (pri dobavi) vedno temelji na skupni masi preskusnega vzorca (mokra osnova).
Ker so biogoriva v majhnih zrnih zelo higroskopska, se vsebnost vlage v njih spreminja glede na vlažnost v okolju. Zaradi tega je treba vlažnost uporabljenega dela vzorca določiti sočasno z npr. kalorično vrednostjo, vsebnostjo ogljika in dušika.
OPOMBA: Izraz »vsebnost vlage« je lahko pri uporabi v zvezi z materiali iz biomase zavajajoč, saj neobdelana biomasa pogosto vsebuje različne količine hlapnih snovi (ekstraktov), ki lahko pri določevanju vsebnosti vlage s sušenjem vzorca v peči izhlapijo (glej vira [1] in [2]).
